Your charter can start at our base at Solitaire Lodge or from your favourite jetty or docks at various locations around Lake Tarawera.
Hot Water Beach
Situated at the foot of Mount Tarawera, Te Rata Bay (commonly known as Hot Water Beach) showcases unique Rotorua thermal activity. Enjoy a soak in one of the natural hot pools. The sand and water varies in temperature so that in certain places it is hot enough to cook in whilst in others is tepid like a spa bath.
The Pink and White Terraces
From Te Rata Bay, you can hike across to the nearby Lake Rotomahana. Lake Rotomahana was once the site of the world famous Pink and White Terraces, dubbed the eighth natural wonder of the world.
Tarawera Falls
A 2 to 3 hour walk down the Tarawera River will take you to the spectacular Tarawera falls. Witness thousands of litres of water rush through a hole in the rocks, though a lava flume and then spilling out through a slice in a rock face on a shear cliff.

Cruise in style on our 8.5 metre (28 feet) Catamaran. Elusive is fully equipped for your comfort; including kitchen and bathroom facilities and a full range of fishing equipment should you wish to sample Rotorua's trophy trout fishing.
